(aka The Rainmaker) was hired by San Diego City Council in 1916 to fill the Lake Morena Dam, located 60 miles east of San Diego, in Campo.
He produced enough rain to fill the dam twice!

The All American Canal was proposed in U.S. Congress, and then approved as an emergency project in 1933. Formal dedication of the canal was 7 years later.
Today, this canal is One, of only two, man-made structures that can be seen by astronauts orbiting the earth.

1816- Under direction of Spain's Missionaires, the Kumeyaay Indians of San Diego complete the construction of the Mission dam and flume, began in 1807 to capture San Diego River water for use at the missions. At that time, there were about 20,000-50,000 people relying on the water.
